The different airline companies in the Philippines has issued travel advisories regarding Mindanao bound flights in light of the declaration of Martial law in the whole region.
Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, and Philippine Airlines are letting their passengers with already confirmed bookings for Mindanao destinations to check out the respective travel and flight advisories.
PHILIPPINE AIRLINES on Mindanao Flights
If you are a passenger of PAL with confirmed flights beginning May 24 to July 30,2017 bound for Mindanao, you have the 3 options:
- To have your confirmed booking rebooked within 90 days from original flight date, without suffering any penalties.
If you have purchase prepaid baggage, this can also be rebooked or carried to a new flight date.
- You can request Philippine Airlines to refund your ticket without charges or any fee.
- You can choose to reroute restricted/non-restricted tickets without penalties, however, as applicable, additional fares and taxes may be computed.
This travel advisory is only for Philippine Airlines ticket holders who are going to these local destinations service by PAL: Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Dipolog, Davao, General Santos, Ozamiz, Surigao and Zamboanga.
No advisory yet for flights coming from these destinations going to any other local hub of PAL. For questions or inquiry about flight cancellations, concerned passengers may call Philippine Airlines Hotline at (02) 855 – 8888 or visit the closest PAL ticketing officer or partner travel agent.
CEBU PACIFIC TRAVEL ADVISORY on MINDANAO FLIGHTS
Cebu Pacific passengers with confirmed tickets from May 25 to May 31, 2017 going to Mindanao hubs are given these choices:
- Rebook tickets within 30 days from original flight without rebooking fees.
- Store the ticket value in a travel fund which can be used for future flights with Cebu Pacific Air.

These are the places that Cebu Pacific flies to in the Mindanao region – Butuan, Cagayan De Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Siargao, Surigao, Tandag, Zamboanga.
AIR ASIA MINDANAO FLIGHTS TRAVEL ADVISORY
Air Asia only has one hub going to Mindanao and that is Davao for their Manila to Davao route and Cebu to Davao route.
Flights are on normal status now but those passengers who wishes not to push through with their Davao bound flights (tickets from May 25 to July 25, 2017) under Air Asia tickets are given these options:
- Passengers can rebook their flights without penalty until August 25, 2017.
- Passengers can choose to put the travel value in a Credit Shell or Travel Fund for 90 days.
