Cebu Pacific launches a sale for Ceb Superpass today and there’s a huge interest. In fact, some interested individuals are number 39,000+, 57,000+, etc on the queue and wait hours to book. Is a Cebpass cheaper than buying airplane tickets during a seat sale?
Some seasoned travelers swear by the cheapness of a Cebpass. One lady traveler gives as an example of her round-trip ticket Manila – Siargao amounting only to P1,800 because she uses a Ceb Super Pass, whereas those she met in Siargao paid P6,000 to P12,000+ for their tickets on the same airline.
*The base fare becomes super expensive if the flight is near, like you need to fly in just a couple of days.
Perhaps the main advantage of a Ceb Superpass is that you can book from 7 to 30 days prior to your intended day of travel with a lock-in base fare rate.
If someone invites you to fly to Bohol or Coron the following month, you can without breaking the bank, as long as you have one of the special passes from Cebu Pacific. Di ba puedeng mag-hintay nalang ng sale gaya ng piso fare? Puede naman, kaso piso sale promo are usually offered for travel periods that are far away in the future. Example: piso fare 2025 tickets on sale last June 2024.
A Cebpass is especially useful for biglaang byahe, like going home to the provinces because of an emergency. Emergency travel is best done using a Cebpass.
A Cebpass is also great if you are wanting to fly to sough-after destinations like Siargao, Bohol, and Coron. The round-trip price will be around P2,000. We don’t know if the airline allows the use of the Cebpass for Basco, Batanes.
The destinations mentioned are rarely included in the normal seat sales, and if they are, there are only a few slots, and a lot of passengers scrambling to book. Hence, the Cebpass supremacy in this instance.
When is a seat sale better than getting a Cebpass?
In our opinion, if you have a planned trip months into the future, book during a seat sale. Wait for a Cebu Pacific piso fare that will include flights in 2025 or 2026. The total fare will be cheaper vs using a pass.
The base fare if there is a piso sale in Cebu Pacific is P1.
The pass that is being offered now costs P99.
*The online booking fee aka web admin fee, whether via mobile app or website of the airline is constant at P350 per pax per way.
How much will you pay for buying a Ceb Superpass?
If you want to buy on today’s offer, you will pay around P500+.
P500+ = voucher fee of P99 + web admin fee of P350 per person per way + VAT
When you are ready to book a flight, you will use or redeem the Cebpass voucher and will still pay the fuel surcharges, terminal fee, aviation security fee, and taxes.
See this screenshot as an example for a flight Manila to Bacolod during Holy Week, she redeemed the P99 superpass voucher. This is for Go Basic option, no check-in bag.
Ceb Superpass is super convenient for emergency travel, for getting to premier destinations, and for those who want to travel but still don’t know where to go or when to fly.
If you bought a superpass today, don’t forget to redeem it before it expires. The reported expiration for the offers today is November 27, 2025. Check what is printed on your voucher. Enjoy exploring the Philippines!
